In the 1950's Salvadoran scientists crossed two coffee varietals - highly resistant Pacas and Maragogipe known for producing some of the largest beans. The new hybrid was called Pacamara and was released to producers after 30 years of careful research.
It is renowned not only for its drastically different bean size, but also decisively distinctive flavor. De la Gente's Pacamara, organically produced by a single farmer in high altitudes of Huehue region, is somehow reminiscent of natural processed coffee.
