Fair Trade coffee

The Coffee Process

We've broken down the steps of the coffee process so everyone can see all of the work that goes into a single cup of coffee. However, what's missing (or impossible to show) is the difficulty behind this work, the hours that go into each step, the walking to/from the fields every day (which can be up to 2 hours each way), the number of passes on each coffee tree during harvest and on and on and on.

The year in review and looking forward to 2015

2014 was a banner year for De la Gente. In April, we launched a re-imagined organization under the new name and haven’t looked back since. We were excited to present a new name and look that better represents who we are and what we do, and based on the outpouring of positive feedback it’s safe to say that our supporters were too.

Coffee export is in the US!

We're happy to say, the coffee is now in the US and Canada ready to be roasted to your liking and shipped directly to your house. The farmers work hard all year long to ensure that we have only the best coffee to export so you can enjoy it in the comfort of your homes.

The De la Gente brand of coffee stands for great coffee that has a positive social impact. Our coffee business creates direct connections between the farmers and the consumers. The coffee is a source of improved income for the small-holder farmers with whom we work. All profits from the coffee go directly to the farmers.

We have recurring plans (1 lb, 2 lb or 5 lb options) available to add to your convenience. Visit the Shop at www.dlgcoffee.org/shop
