Kape (kah-pey) means “coffee” in the Mayan languages of Tz’utujil and Kakchikel, both of which are spoken among the members of Ija’tz Cooperative located on the shores of Lake Atitlán. As our sole cooperative from the Atitlán Coffee Region, we’ve created this bundle as an ode to the richness they cultivate in their community—culturally, linguistically, and in the coffee they grow and produce!
The Kape Bundle includes a 12 oz bag of the following coffees from Ija’tz Cooperative:
Honey Coffee from Ija’tz Cooperative roasted as medium, with notes of red apple, maple syrup, chocolate, almonds, raisins, lemon and a silky body
Wash Processed Coffee from Ija’tz Cooperative roasted as full city, with notes of chocolate, cocoa, sugar cane, and roasted nuts
Natural Processed Coffee from Ija’tz Cooperative roasted as medium, with notes of red fruits and a silky body
