Notes: Silky-smooth body with a pleasant acidity and tasting notes of chocolate, caramel and maple syrup
Varieties: Bourbon, Caturra, Pache, Catuai
Elevation: 1,500-1,900 meters
Atitlán Region: This coffee region is named after the crater lake surrounded by three volcanoes: Tolimán, San Pedro, and Atitlán and contains the richest soil of all the five volcanic coffee regions in Guatemala. The daily Xocomil winds stirring cold lake waters have an important influence on the microclimate, along with the high humidity of around 70-80%. Harvest along the shores of Lake Atitlán, where our partner cooperative is found, typically occurs between December and March.
